Are you curious about the Catholic faith? Would you like to become Catholic? The Church's series of steps for those desiring to become Catholic is called the "Order of Christian Initiation of Adults" (OCIA; formerly called "RCIA"). While it typically takes about one year to complete, the Church recognizes that each person's journey is different and could be longer or shorter.
OCIA is for those who are: 1. Not Catholic but would simply like to learn more about the Catholic faith for the first time 2. Not baptized but would like to be baptized Catholic 2. Baptized in another faith tradition and wish to become Catholic 3. Baptized Catholics who are not catechized and need to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and/or Holy Eucharist)
We also welcome fully-initiated Catholics in full communion with the Church who would like to serve as sponsors / godparents.
